The
villa has been designed for maximum entertainment, and so there are many
things to do and enjoy, from the Garage used as a Games Room, to the Surround
Sound Systems installed in the Lounge and TV Room, as well as integrated
speakers in most areas including the Pool Area.
With the stunning views, there are many features outside of the villa to ensure your maximum enjoyment of the Algarvean weather. The main terrace centres around the Swimming Pool with sun loungers and Pool towels. The Gazebo is a great area to gain a little shade, and also to sit and read out of the midday sun. The upper terrace has a table to seat 8, and also wicker chairs and a sofa outside of the Lounge - this is a great place to watch the sunsets over the hills. The landscaped gardens with automatic irrigation have a path that runs from the rear patio area right around the property. Guests can walk through a variety of shrubs and fruit trees, including Orange, Lemon, Olive, and Avocado. Guests are encouraged to use the fruits if desired. There is a small lawn area by the Pool. The Pool Area has its own speaker system for playing music outdoors - swimming in the Pool to your favourite music is a great experience. This villa has every option for those who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle.
Our housekeepers are local Portuguese ladies, who do an excellent job in preparing the villa before your arrival. Included in the costs are five visits (Monday to Friday) for a hygiene clean and removal of the rubbish. If necessary, the housekeepers will also make up the beds. The housekeepers will change the bed linen and towels at the end of each week. The housekeepers are available for additional cleans if required - please advise at the time of booking. The housekeepers can also arrange for a food welcome pack if ordered in advance. As we use the villa as a second home as well as for holiday lets, there are cleaning items stored in the Store Room. You are most welcome to use the items, and we simply ask that you replace items as needed/used.
Whilst there is no known crime in the area, the villa has been equipped with many features to maximise security and safety. There is a personal safe available for the storage of personal items. All of the windows in the bedrooms and living areas have electric shutters, which can be controlled in each room. In addition, there is a master switch by the entrance door so that all shutters can be closed from this point on the way out of the villa. The property has electric gates and a separately controlled pedestrian gated entrance. There is a video entry phone for this gate. In
addition, the entire villa has an alarm system that is extremly easy
to use. All guests are provided with their unique code for activating/de-activating
upon exit/entry to the villa. We also designed the Garage to be a Games Room. There is a custom fitted light over the Pool Table - every night seems to end up in here! There is also a Table Tennis Table with four bats. There is a cross trainer for working out, and darts/dartboard for some additional fun. There are also two adult bikes complete with helmets, and two sets of golf clubs, all for guest use. There are various entertainment systems in the villa. There is an integrated sound system that enables a choice of four source channels to be played in most rooms (CD, IPOD, Satellite channel), including the Games Room. A separate IPOD/MP3 player input is available in most rooms too. The sound system works in the Pool Area too. The Lounge has a 5:1 Surround System, 42” plasma, DVD player, and Satellite receiver. The CD player and IPOD dock for the central system is also here. The TV Room downstairs also has a 5:1 Surround System, 42” plasma, DVD player and Satellite Receiver. The Satellite signals can be received in all bedrooms. A Playstation 2 and games are also in this TV room. A guitar and keyboard are also in the TV room, for our guests’ entertainment. There are a series of boxed games and DVDs stored in the sideboard unit by the stairs in the open plan. The
villa is a great place to have fun!. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning unit, and a separate under floor heating system with thermostat. Bedroom 1 has a double headboard but is still two separate beds, and is colour co-ordinated yellow. Bedroom 2 has single headboards, and is colour co-ordinated blue. Bedroom 3 has single headboards, and is colour co-ordinated pink. Bedroom 4 has single headboards, and is colour co-ordinated yellow. There are two rollaway beds in the Store Room, and spare Duvets are stored in Bedroom 4 in the event you need these extra beds. These can be used in Bedroom 5 / TV Room or in Bedroom 1 or 4. Each of the bedrooms has its own ensuite. Bathroom 1 has his’n’hers twin sinks, toilet, bidet, electric heated towel rail, under floor heating, and a large walk in shower, with an additional separate shower attachment. Bathroom 2 has a sink, toilet, electric heated towel rail, under floor heating, and a large walk in shower. Bathroom 3 has a sink, toilet, electric heated towel rail, under floor heating, and a large walk in shower, with an additional attachment. Bedroom 4 has his’n’hers twin sinks. toilet, electric heated towel rail, under floor heating, and a spa bath with separate shower attachment above. There is a fifth bathroom opposite the TV room, with bowl, toilet, electric towel rail, under floor heating, and bath with shower.
All floors and worktops are natural stone. The Lounge comfortably seats eight across three leather sofas. Whether it be watching TV, viewing a movie in surround sound, or simply watching the sunset in the west, the Lounge is a great place to relax.
The Dining Area has a large oak table with eight leather chairs. With
three patio doors from this Area, this is the place for that evening
meal, with the large feature window to the west, and the panoramic views.
There are separate speakers to this area too for background music Both the Lounge and Dining Areas have patio doors on to the upper terrace. Like all of the windows and patio doors throughout the villa, there are insect sliding door nets here in the Lounge and Dining Area, enabling a nice country breeze without the risk of insect bites. There is also an air conditioning unit in the Lounge, as well as a wood burning stove. The Kitchen is the central hub of the villa. This fully fitted luxury kitchen includes black granite worktops and a central island that seats up to four people, a great place to catch up or for a quick snack. The kitchen has all integrated appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven, american style fridge freezer, hob and extractor. The kitchen is fully equipped with all expected items, including hand blender and juice extractor. There is also a “filter tap” fitted next to the sink for filtering water so that there is no need to purchase bottled water. From the kitchen sink, the views are absolute amazing, across the upper terrace to the panoramic views of the Algarvean countryside.
The kitchen door leads to a completely covered BBQ area, with bottled
gas BBQ and all services. There is no additional charge for the use
of gas. This BBQ area is perfect for outdoor cooking and entertaining.
The sound system is also available in the BBQ area, with a separate
controller just Whilst
the kitchen and living areas were all designed as open plan, there are
sliding doors to separate the kitchen from the rest of the villa. There
are plentry of utensils, crockery, and glassware, in the event you wish
to cook. BBQ tools are also stored in the kitchen. There is a spa “bubble seat” at the Roman End of the pool. The pool has its own electronically operated pool cover. This cover will increase the pool temperature by 4 to 8 degrees celsius, depending on the season. For an additional fee, the Pool Water Heater can be turned on (*note: it can take 48-72 hours to achieve maximum capability depending on season. Therefore, this must be ordered in advance of arrival). The pool can be illuminated at night. There are some pool toys stored in the outside stair cupboards. There are various sunbeds too and Pool towels are also supplied. There is a Gazebo by the pool which is a great place to put your drink whilst in the Pool. With running water, lights, fridge, and a bar area, it’s a fun place to be. There is a table and chairs, and also a power point and lighting. There is a path that leads around the garden, from the rear door all the way round to the grass area by the pool. The path starts with an area at the rear (where there is a rotary clothes dryer), and leads through shrubs and trees. The fruit trees include Olive, Lemon, Orange and Avocado. Guests are welcome to use the fruits produced.
